How We Research and Write Content
Every article on FaceliftTurkey.us follows a structured editorial process:
- Research: Content is researched using peer-reviewed medical journals (PubMed/NCBI), professional society publications (ASPS, ISAPS, BAAPS), and established medical references (Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic). We prioritise systematic reviews and large-cohort studies over single case reports.
- Writing: Articles are written by experienced medical content writers with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and patient relevance. All factual claims are supported by cited sources.
- Medical review: Every health-related article is reviewed by a board-certified medical professional before publication. The reviewer verifies medical accuracy, checks claims against current evidence, and flags any content that could mislead patients.
- Publication: Reviewed content is published with the reviewer's name, credentials, and review date clearly displayed.
Medical Review Process
Our medical review is not a rubber stamp. Reviewers are asked to:
- Verify that all medical claims are accurate and supported by current evidence
- Flag any content that could be misinterpreted or cause patient harm
- Confirm that risks and limitations are presented honestly alongside benefits
- Check that statistics and complication rates reflect published literature
All health content is reviewed at least annually. When significant new evidence emerges, relevant articles are updated and re-reviewed on an expedited basis. The "Last reviewed" date on each article reflects the most recent medical review.
Our Sources
We cite from:
- Peer-reviewed journals indexed on PubMed/NCBI — the primary source for medical claims
- Professional medical societies — ASPS, ISAPS, BAAPS, and equivalent national bodies
- Established medical references — Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, NHS for patient-facing information
- Regulatory bodies — JCI (Joint Commission International) for hospital accreditation data
We do not cite marketing materials, unverified clinic claims, or anonymous online reviews as sources for medical information.
Corrections Policy
We take accuracy seriously. If you identify an error in any article:
- Report it: Contact us via our contact page with the article URL and the specific claim you believe is incorrect.
- Review: Our editorial team and medical reviewer will assess the reported issue against current evidence.
- Correction: If an error is confirmed, we correct the article promptly. Significant corrections are noted at the top of the article with the date of correction.
- Transparency: We do not silently alter published medical claims. Material changes are documented.
